Some things in his philosophy that clicked for me:
- Distinction between deduction and induction.
- That the "self" is a bundle of perceptions.
- That morality is the observation of people's actual sentiments. That such observations are the basis for advocating utilitariansim. That one can not determine how people ought to behave purely by deduction.
- That acts of "free will" have causes.
- That religion is silly.
