I've added a few things to my essay on the characters of cats and dogs, based on further observation and from feedback by several people.

• A bias towards playing the cat or the dog can only be expressed in the company of others.

• The cat-dog axis is orthogonal to introversion-extroversion.

• There seem to be two possible styles of leadership, based on the leader either being a cat or a dog.
